Hi, we have asked for an reassessment of how much my OH pays to his ex, due to me being made redundant . What I can't understand is the amount he pays has gone up by over £40. He is still in the same job, his pay hasn't increased for the last 2 years, I no longer bring any money into the household. Our mortgage also went up last year due to coming out of a fixed rate deal. The assessment he had previously didn't take into account t the increase in the mortgage as it was worked out 2 years ago. I am also disabled and this was not taken into account in his last assessment due to me working. I am completely confused.

Is this an 'old' or 'new' rules case?0

One obvious possibility which must not be overlooked is that the previous assessment was itself incorrect (and therefore lower than it ought to have been) for some reason or other.
Trying to dead-reckon from a wrong assessment to a (new) correct assessment would be a difficult task.0 -
Hi, it is an old case.0

The old assessment was correct, he got the. To check it. Because of the amount they were requesting.0

Defiantly call them! And ask for the paperwork to be sent to you with the calculation on, you should get that anyway0
