Calling early with 10/20
I do love a sober Saturday! (esp when Fri was an over consumption evening)
I hope everyone is having a good weekend, AF or otherwise0 -
13/13 AFDs for me, I can safely call as we've eaten dinner and the wine stayed firmly corked.
Managed a parkrun this morning, despite only arriving home from Porto at 1am - and managed my best time this year.
Porto wasn't very inspiring as a holiday destination, and was much hillier than I expected. No AF days whilst we were away (no surprise there). The hotel was great, though, and everywhere was very clean. Feeling more positive than I have for a while, although losing my phone on the last-but-one day of my holiday wasn't great. A very MSE replacement phone bought using Clubcard vouchers (which were boosted) that came courtesy of our kitchen remodel done last year. Plus there was a £20 gift card with the phone deal. The vouchers have also bought a replacement microwave when ours gave up the ghost a few months ago.
Well done Chardonnay on your parkrun this morning.
Glad to hear your DH's tests didn't reveal anything serious, Alchemilla.
Now to catch up on the diaries. What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?0 -
I am about to go out to a friend's party. A lot of drink will be swilling around. Committing on here to a night of b-s blue and tap water. Will leave updating the score till tomorrow though - to keep myself focussed. No pressure...I have borrowed from my future self

Well I went out last night with the boyf. Started with a large wine (danger!) but then switched to G&Ts and Vodkas. 6 drinks in total. Should have awoken feeling not too bad but instead felt really exhausted and a bit ill. Tried going out for an afternoon shandy but after a few sips I felt sick and couldn't drink any more!
Very strange, have had what feels like a really bad hangover all day...not sure if it's a reaction to the alcohol or whether I'm just ill, will find out tomorrow! At least being ill means I'll finally make it through a Saturday and Sunday without drinking!Starting 2016 debt-free

Thanks Satchmo! Well done on doing parkrun yesterday after not getting in until 1am! I admire your dedication! Well done on the fast time too
Pleased you had a nice holiday and are feeling better about everything. It sounds like it was just what you needed!
How did you get on Dansmam?
Hope you're feeling better today Aphidgirl.
No drink for me yesterday. I tried Echo Falls alcohol free sparkling infusion. I think it's been around since last year but only just appeared in our local supermarket. Quite impressed actually - lovely bottle and satisfying being able to pop the cork!
So 15/22 now please Shaggy.0 -
Did it! Thanks for asking Chardonnay - stayed till the bitter end when gins and whiskys were getting knocked back at a scary rate, and I didn't feel the need for anything beyond a slice too many of very chocolatey cake. Am super happy with myself, so 11/15 please shaggy.I have borrowed from my future self
