Water Bill Rebate - Claim back Previous Years?

Hello, please can someone help me quickly?!
Just got a letter saying I am due a rebate on my water removal bill as the surface water from the house and road doesn't run in to a public sewer...they are rebating me from April 2013.
I've lived in the house for 6 years - is it reasonable to ask for the previous 6 years worth back - is it possible or is there a clause?
Thank you!!!

I'm surprised the water supplier hasn't refunded you back 6 years (assuming nothing changed). Definitely worth enquiring as to why they feel you are only entitled to a rebate since last April.0 -
Thats the rules. Only back in the current FY.
I had the same snag and only realised on about March 28th. I wrote, recorded delivery, to check it was there before 1st April.
Unfair? Probably yes but so is the fact that they know your house is not on mains drainage but I bet if you sell it the new owner will not be told.0
