Search for your name on MSE: Missed Win UPDATED

I just searched for my name in the MSE search box and saw I had a nice win on the "facebook winners" thread. I have been regularly putting my name into google and this had never come up so it might be a good idea for others to try this.

The prize was from the end of November and I can see on the company facebook page it has been redrawn.

Also the company had sent me a facebook message but it was not in my "Inbox" but another place called "other" which I did not know about before. Perhaps someone more familiar with facebook can explain more but the "other" writing was next to "inbox" and I think it might be where facebook puts things that might be spam. I had never noticed it before...might be worth checking there too.

the other box is where mail from people you are not friends with or have had no communication with goes x

Facebook uses the 'Others' box for things it thinks are spam, and also for people who aren't on your friends list (this often includes companies, even if you like them)...

Hope it wasn't too big a prize, and that the comping fairy sends you something to make up for it...

Thanks - didn't know that - just looked and I missed a lovely invitation from a Russian lady from last June.. think she might have wanted me to give her money for my prize so lucky I missed it as I don't do pay to enter competitions...:)

I didn't know about the 'other' messages and just checked mine. I had a message from 8/8/11 saying I had won a Yardley Woods mens EDT!!

I've messaged them back (over 2 years later!!) just in case lol

Just to reiterate from one of the above threads how to find the SPAM folder...

On the FB website, click the usual 'Messages' icon, top left, then click 'See All' at the bottom of that window. The messages will then appear as a full page, and the options for 'Inbox' and 'Others' are on the left. On the right, there is a 'More' arrow, click this to find the link to the 'Spam' folder...

Thank you very much for this reminder - I missed a fb prize from June as their tag didn't show up on my notifications (arrrrggghhhh) trying to claim now as it is something I really want.

Hooray, they're honouring the prize
