Well as the title states really.
I was employed as a machine operator in a bakery, i slipped on oil and twisted my back. Ive had 6 weeks off on the sick and have been to Physio every week. Ive instructed a Solicitor to claim for my injuries.
Why i want to resign is my company havent even bother to be in touch regarding my welfare, i cannot go back to working for a company like this, its just too awkward. Please help as in really worried.
My contract states one weeks notice, but do i have to go back into work?? ive been employed there since 27/09/13
Thankyou

We are told by admin to be nice to Newbes, but sometimes they make it hard, very hard.
Please, if you cant post anything helpful, don't post at all.
OP, don't even think of resigning, you are being paid, you are accruing holidays so wait and see what happens. This also should be what your solicitor should be telling you.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.

Been there less than 2 months and slipped on oil due to employer not having correct safety practices. Star Employer
It's not necessarily a sign of incorrect safety practices, that would be an assumption based on limited facts - given the nature of the job it's a risk, but not one for which we know with any certainty it was an entirely avoidable accident. (i.e. could have just happened at that precise point in time that OP walked over it - as unlikely as that may seem it's still plausible!)
I would however agree that it would be unwise to resign, that's one way to not only ensure that you're incapable of working, but to not recieve any JSA for some considerable time.Retired member - fed up with the general tone of the place.0
