My friend has asked me to post this question (I know that sounds dodgy) but she has!
she would like to know others experiences of doing this where they went and how much it cost and how long ago
She is looking into it and has been for some time but has not known anyone that has had it done that could recommend a place
Her doctors has recommended one that will cost £4000 but she has seen that the natural company start at £2900 but wants to make sure there good as her health is more important than money
I would appreciate it if you would be wiling to advise on this

With regards boob jobs, you definitely get what you pay for. A girl who I used to work with used Transform and the aftercare she received was superb.
However, one thing your friend must bear in mind is that having a boob job is NOT just one operation. A lot of people don't realise this but depending on what she has put in, she will need to have them "replaced" every 5 to 10 years. This is dependant on how expensive her implants are in the first place as to how often she has to have them replaced.
I would also recommend that she have counselling before she has the job done as quite often wanting surgery such as this may be a sign of other things that may need to be brought to light.0 -
Thanks I have spoken to her about why she wants it done and it seems to have been there since she was younger she is now 30 she has had her kids hubby is not bothered about what she has got (a cup) but it does not seem to change her mind
may I add her body is good she is a size 8 but the chest makes her down and she says makes her feel unwomanly!
I better not show her this as she will go mad for me saying so much!0 -
Ok well based on what you have said so far, I would also say that nothing more than a C cup would suit her. The girl I know who had a job done had a similar frame to your friends and she ended up with a DD cup and they looked REALLY fake! They were far to buoyant and didn't suit her frame.0

Hello ANNIEHAHA
I'll move your thread to the 'Health & Beauty' board.
Hi, Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: I’ve asked Board Guides to move threads if they’ll receive a better response elsewhere(please see this rule) so this post/thread has been moved to another board, where it should get more replies. If you have any questions about this policy please email abuse@moneysavingexpert.com.

I had my boob job done last October. Tell your friend that if she's serious to make several appointments with different places so she can compare them all. I went to one place and didn't feel happy from the start,so left. If the patient coordinator doesn't put you at ease, are you seriously going to let their surgeon cut you open?? I travelled to London to see Transform. My patient coordinator was a lovely nurse (not a sasles person-very important that they're qualified I think!) and I also met my surgeon at the appointment. Don't book or pay for anything until you've met the surgeon. You need to feel 100% about this person. Ask him all the stupid questions (he's heard them ALL before and should not hurry you or fob you off) Mine was lovely. I got to try on bras with the implants in to see what i would look like. My op went fine, the after care overnight in London was 100%. My follow up checks were with lovely friendly nurses, and I am now the proud owner of 34D (very natural looking & feeling) boobs!
I paid £4000 for piece of mind getting it done in UK, wouldn't advise going aboard, personally I wouldn't like nurses etc who don't speak English and then having to travel back after the op (the tube and train in London was bad enough!)
It's a good idea to start a "boob fund" though, as the implants will need replacing after 5-10 yrs. Easier to put a few quid away here and there now in advance than be faced with trying to raise £4000 in a few years time.
Hope this helps.0 -
Tell her to sign up here, when I used the site the women were friendly and extremely knowledgeable. They should be able to answer all her questions and more besides!
Its a difficult and expensive decision to make so she needs to consider all her options and make several appointments.
I was not told by anyone that I would need my implants replacing after 5 or 10 years. My surgery was just under 4 years ago and now I have no plans at all to replace them.“I tell you, we are here on Earth to fart around, and don't let anybody tell you different.”

Really? I am very surprised by this as as far as I know, ALL implants need to be replaced at some time.0 -
WIth previous silicon implants, women were advised that they would need to have them replaced within a relatively short space of time. The newer 'gummy bear' or silicon gel implants are less likely to migrate elsewhere in the body or leak so therefore it isn't a requirement to have them replaced within 5 or 10 years.
It is likely that implants will not last a lifetime however, so anyone who has the procedure must take into account the cost of subsequent procedures.“I tell you, we are here on Earth to fart around, and don't let anybody tell you different.”

It seems quite an expensive operation from what I gather from you guys I will let her know your advice and I will let you know what happens
I don't think she knows that she is looking at £4000 that will be a shock I think!
Thanks for taking the time to offer advice any other info will be appreciated0 -
Anniehaha,
Have your friend read this article on breast implant surgery. It covers the procedure as well as risks:
Breast Augmentation
Given that this is written by a plastic surgeon who does breast implant surgery, I don't think there is any hype or exaggeration about risks.
For some pics of what breasts look like after "rupture and deflation", look here. (I think all of the "after" pics on that page look sooo fake, eww.)
Personally, I wouldn't consider having them... not worth the health risks.
:AI want to move to theory. Everything works in theory.0
