cleaning plastic water bottle

Options
I have a clear plastic Sports bottle like this.
It had some orange juice in it last and has been left laying around for 4-5 days. It now really smells and there was some funny looking stuff inside it. I have washed it out with soapy water but it still smells. I have put some juice inside it to taste and it's rank. anybody know how to clean it and get rid of the smell. I read somewhere you should wash them out weekly wit some diluted bleach but I'm a bit unsure about this.

Personally I`d try white vingear topped up with water over night, rather than bleach. Bicarb gets rid of smells so perhaps a couple of teaspoons shaken about in the bottle and left a few hours might help?

I know its a bit strange but I keep a tube of sterilising tablets( the ones you use to clean false teeth!!).

Just pop a tablet in water in the bottle and leave it overnight....comes out clean and free of any lingering smells!!
