How do I prove how many hours I worked in 2002?

This may be the wrong section to post in, but here goes...

I am currently attempting to reclaim by PPI, I have just had a response and need to give them information on how many hours I was working at the time.

It was 2002 and I had a part-time job at Pizza Hut but don't have any of the paperwork (I have looked everywhere), If I can prove I was working less than 16 hours they will re-evaulate my case. I think I was because I was in full time education.

Does anyone know if I have any chance of finding this information? And if so where I might?

I know it's a long shot but thanks in advance....

You could supply records showing you were in ft education from the school or college or you could contact Pizza Hut for copies of payslips. Probably easier to get the educational attendance record if the school or college still have them ...or even your exam certs for that year.

No one keeps pay records for 14 years.

The HMRC may be able to help the OP but I am not sure.

  • Thank you, Can't seem to find an email address for the HMRC on the website so will ring them in the morning. I am wondering if I could get some old bank statements and they may accept them, I have had the same bank account since then.

You wont be able to request anything from the HMRC by email. Call and see if they can give you an employment statement with dates etc.
