Early Discharge From Bankruptcy

I was declared bankrupt at the end of February 2007. I have been contacted by the Insolvency practice as I am eligible for an early discharge. I have sent back the paperwork but they advise not to contact them as they have to contact all my creditors to inform them I may be discharged early.
I find the whole thing quite confusing and wonder how others dealt with an early discharge? Have any creditors objected?
Many Thanks

Me too. It usually means the OR has concluded their investigations and it's all straightforward. Early discharge coming soon for you!

It definitely means that the OR has concluded their investigations.

Once the OR has written to the creditors, they officially have 5 weeks to make their objections. (28 days + 7 additional to allow for postal delays).

If no objections are received, the OR is the free to file your discharge at the court. But be aware that there can be significant delays in the process due to admin, since jobs such as 'new cases' take priority. This can add many weeks (and occasionally some ED's can get shelved).

For personal bankruptcy cases its rare for a creditor to object, but if it should happen and the OR considers it not to be for a valid reason, then the ED process will continue after a delay.
If the OR has started the ED process, and has therefore concluded their investigations, they have already decided that your conduct does not prevent ED. It is therefore up to a creditor to provide real evidence to the contrary.

So overall it is excellent news.:)
