Active CCJ on my credit report

Hi all, I have just accessed my credit file - just interested to see how it is 5 years after bankruptcy - and there is a CCJ showing as 'active' . I would have thought that the bankruptcy which is dated 3 months later than the CCJ would have cancelled that? Tbh, I don't know much about CCJs and I also didn't know about this one, the address on it is not the one I lived at when I was declared bankrupt, it was from 2 address before. Which is probably why I never knew as never had any correspondance on it - so I guess I wouldn't have included it on the paperwork for the bankruptcy. It's for £324, and again I have no idea who the creditor is - should I be worried about this and is there anything I can do or should do, given that I have no idea who it is? Bit confused, so any ideas or help is really welcome! Thank you

Hi, don't worry about the CCJ, it will fall off your credit report 6 years from the day it was registered whether it was satisfied or not. If anyone ever tries to collect on it, just provide them with your bankruptcy order.

The debt was included in your bankruptcy even if you didn't put it on your forms.

Thank you!! That's put my mind at rest. Seeing as it was the end of 2008 it will go pretty soon then anyway. Just was a bit of a shock seeing it there, Thanks for the info!

As above, it doesn't matter, but I would note that a bankruptcy does not cancel a CCJ. Just renders it unenforceable against you. The court will also not mark it as settled unless is has actually been paid.

It will drop off after 6 years, paid or not.
