Primus - warning

I couldn't call my family in Ireland on Christmas day and just had a very lengthy conversation with customer services about international calls being barred from Primus. They wanted another £50 up front AND for me to email a utility bill as proof of address. They really need to TELL people that this is the case before you sign up for 12 months.

Nowhere in their t+c's does it say you can't phone international numbers (despite the representative telling me I should have read them, I did!).

After about twenty minutes he told me that they would be unbarred after three months - why couldn't he have told me that at the start of the conversation?

And to top it all off it their site won't recognise that I have validated my email address so I can't change my password. As the password was set by customer services I can't now get back into my account.

Yes, I know they have a bad reputation and I probably should have gone with someone more reputable!

We all live and learn but the lesson learned from my experience with primus was an expensive one. Go to their facebook page and make your complaint and warning more public. You'll have to keep checking because they delete all negative comments. Good luck.
