advice on crowdflower

anyone know exactly what crowflower is about and if its legit. iv tried reading the website but i cant get my head around what its all about. can anyone shed some light please?

Crowdflower is a company that shares tasks amongst lots of people. A company approaches them with a large task (search, research, survey, etc). Rather than Crowdflower giving it to a handful of people to complete, it gives it to lots of people to do it, so that it's completed faster. It's called crowdsourcing I believe.

Companies can apply to Crowdflower to host these tasks and get a cut, which is why you'll find a number of sites with tasks: Clixsense, Swagbucks, Gift Hunter Club, Treasure Trooper, Cashle, Gifthulk, etc.
