Well....and this is only my guess...their motto on their website is "Love is all you need" that with the king size bed stated in the terms would suggest to me that it is couples only....then again I'm not saying that a couple couldn't be two females or two males. I'm not sure I've been much help...:o

But as liamell says above - who is to state that a couple can't be same sex .... I just think the hotel chain doesn't want single people going there "on the pull" so to speak

Sandals holidays are just for couples... and no kids!

Sandals say that single sex couples can attend, they changed their policies in 2004. However, two single ladies (or two men) who are not a couple cannot attend.

How would they possibly know if two females or two males are a couple or not unless you have to prove it in their office beforehand ? 'Could you step this way please we have reason to believe you two are not a couple because the cameras we have in each hotel room haven't recorded you having rumpy pumpy yet and we have become suspicious'
