Finding a good IFA

Hi, any suggestions please on sites / places to find a good IFA (I live in Bournemouth) - any things to watch out for? I prefer face-to-face dealings initially.

http://www.unbiased.co.uk/ brings up a list of 46 IFAs in and around Bournemouth so would seem a good place to start!

Recommendations from family and friends or choose perhaps 3 local ones from the unbiased list, ones specialising in your particular needs if these are not routine, and have an initial chat with them.

i used vouched for and it was really good in finding me the right skills in the right area plus I got the initial 90min consulation free.

unbiased is the main database. All the others either white label the unbiased database or require advisers to pay to be listed on there. We are forever getting emails from the others trying to get us to get listed but pay them (and most dont as they dont need to and dont want to). So, as long as you untick the option on unbiased to only show firms that pay to get an enhanced entry, you will get the largest selection there.
