  • I was with you a few months back and it really helped me get organised. Therefore planning to get (and stay) organised this year! Will do bathroom today and swish round downstairs with cloth and hoover. Back to work tomorrow and the theory is. do 15 mins a day rather than all day Saturday.

    Happy New Year to all

    3. The stuff on the list - so glad it's bathrooms as mine are in a right state!

    4. Take a few bags to the CS.

    Good Morning,

Ugh, isn't it horrid being woken up by an alarm clock! Hubby is still in bed so I won't get going until he's gone to work.

Extra jobs i need to do today is tidy up the kitchen, do 15 minutes paper shredding and 15 minutes of ironing.

First thing i will do though is sit with my light box, meditate and do a few yoga stretches to set my day off on the right footing. This is my new goal for 2014 so I am interested to see how it goes and how i feel after a few months.

Hope you all have a nice day. Hugs to those who are struggling.

    Bbl.

Thanks for this week's list, Natty, and to Dusty for last week's. I'm in! - although our friend who's been with us for the weekend does not go home until after lunch , so I don't expect to get much done today apart from taking down the decorations. Every room was deep cleaned as the decorating and furnishing was completed just before Christmas, and I cleaned the house again from top to bottom on Friday and Saturday before BF arrived, therefore my "on list" tasks this week will be more about tidying and sorting (especially the cutlery drawer in the DR and the cupboard in the study, which is a real muddle) than deep cleaning.

(((Hugs))) to Natty - sorry you've had a difficult week.
(((Hugs))) to Froddy too. I'll chuck a few sticks for your BD to keep it at bay, but you need to get yourself an appointment with your GP.
Good wishes to everyone returning to work this week after the hols.
Hope everyone finds their GUAG as the days begin to lengthen and the storms abate.

Welcome to newbies and returners. Nice to have you with us!

I'm about to post separately a very important message which will hopefully cheer some of you up and give you something to look forward to at the beginning of February and/or March....

I'm back in this week, if I don't go insane by next doors house phone ringing continually!!! Someone is phoning their house, letting it ring til the answerphone cuts in, hanging up and ringing again. It's been going on for over an hour!!:mad: No-one's answering, give the **** up!!!!:mad:

I need some advice ladies, regarding housekeeping money. DD1 is due to finish college around Easter, she will then be working. She's just started the job and is currently doing 3 days a week, we're not sure if it'll increases to 5 days or not yet.
Anyway, once she leaves college the money I receive for her will end, Child Benefit, Child Tax Credit and CSA (not that I've received any since August '13  ). I don't expect her to cover all that but I don't know how much to ask her for without sounding money grabbing :o. When I left college I use to pay my mum £30 a week but that was over 18 years ago before I had DD1 and we didn't have Sky or the internet to pay for. Any advice or insight would be gratefully received.

Just had a text from DD2 saying she really doesn't feel well. She wasn't looking good yesterday and was feeling hot to the touch. I've just told her to see if the school will send her home, they will if they think she's bad.
I think it's a combination of feeling down cos of the boyfriend breaking up with her (spineless little thing did it over BBM chat ), too many late nights or nights lying in bed playing on her phone and not eating well enough. She doesn't always eat at home but I don't know if she's actually getting food while she's out or eating at friends houses when she says she is  Things will change now she's back at school.

I'm going to finish my coffee, then put WM & DW on as I forgot to do it last night :o then it's on with the bathroom. Little boy cat must have known it was bathroom day as instead of using the litter trays he peed on the bathroom floor instead

Me again. LR done, bread bought, dogs walked, hoovered downstairs, washing in machine. Paid stuff now beckons. 'See' you all later, may creep on here during paid stuff to read Ionafan's important message.
Spend less now, work less later.

Wendywitch - I only charge DD £25 per week + help towards running the car, but that's because I want her to be able to save enough to move out! She is in her mid twenties now....

    You are invited to a
    Flylady meet
    on
    Sunday 2nd February
at the National Railway Museum in York

Free entry to the museum (though they welcome donations). OHs and children are welcome to come too - plenty to keep them occupied including science shows (free) and the Mallard experience (£4/£3 with a special kids' pod for under-5s).

CY and I will be there. Please join us if you can! Bring your own food or buy food there.
    * * * * *

    I'm also proposing a
    Flylady meet in Birmingham
    in March
Please PM me if you're interested and suggest possible dates - weekday or weekend: I'm fairly flexible on this one. Options include Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery, the new Central Library (both free), Sea Life Centre (cost involved), Bull Ring shopping, Brindley place (cafe culture) and/or the canals.
