I foolishly bought 4 tins when thy were 50p each but I've got no idea what to do with them!
Years ago I made chocolate chestnut pots but it was like eating creamed lead! Not a good idea.
Any ideas gratefully received.

This thread might have some ideas for you:
Help me use up this tin of sweet chestnut puree
I'll add your thread to that one later to keep the suggestions together.

I saw a really unusual recipe for a Christmas chocolate and chestnut pur!e terrine - unfortunately can't find the recipe online. It was the usual chocolate ganache plus chestnut pur!e (no raw eggs), dash of preferred tipple (Grand Marnier / Cointreau preferred), mix thoroughly and then freeze in a loaf tin lined with clingfilm. The good thing about this was it could be sliced off in sections frozen as and when required, and then returned to the freezer. So it made the ingredients to a long way, unlike a Yule log that sits there staring at you begging to be eatenValue-for-money-for-me-puhleeze!
