Thank you so much all very helpful comments. We definately dont have the £109 spare, im guessing that this goes on the things i havent budgeted for like entertainment etc - but when doing the SOA i didnt really have a figure for this in my head. the spending diary is a good idea and i will start that.
cash for non monthly expenses is in envelopes at my mums lol!
when you say debt charities wont consider me unless i include all debts what does that mean? I was told they wouldnt consider me as they would say to basically stop paying family and have the money available to us monthly?
Holidaywise - i have £800 at my mums that will cover the balance and the passports we all need - but until i am happy that we will def be able to go i am not paying this over. obviously if we dont go then the £800 can go straight off another debt, along with the £100 monthly budgeted amount.
no extra hours available for me and i would have to pay childcare if there was anyway so wouldn't be an option. i do also work as a rep for a catalogue that can bring in varying amounts of extra cash (no more than £50 every 4 weeks though). husband cant work more hours either unfortunately.
HSBC Loan - i am unsure on interest rate i intend to call them tomorrow to ask as all my paperwork is packed away in storage at my sisters at the minute.
other income is indeed rent on 2nd property, that mortgage is already interest only. we cant do anything with this house as we bought on a shared equity scheme! we have to buy out the builder first, we tried this last year and there isnt enough equity in it ATM.
gas and elec i submit reads every 6 weeks so im paying right, water is on a meter and has just reduced from £35
OD doesnt increase it is just lived in! xCurrent Debt = LOTS - Must try harder!0

 November! typical!
Who told you this, and when?
Council when we moved in so a year last April, probably worth a call as it goes! We dont pay in Feb/Mar here too so this is probably the best time to call them.Current Debt = LOTS - Must try harder!0

 It changed last February.
It's a bit pointless for the current year (2013/2014), since you have pretty much paid this years (I already have, as I pay almost a month in advance, due to an awkward payday), but you could arrange it for 2014/2015.
Some Councils keep quiet about it, as it messes up their cashflow, but it is now your right to pay over 12 moths.0

A small point, but if you don't pay in Feb, March, could you use that money to throw at this "DFS............................350.......27....... .0" ?? And the moment you pay that off, put that 27 per month towards a higher interest debt?Saving, decluttering and doing alright.:xmastree: :xmastree:0

I would cancel the holiday I'm afraid.even if that incur,s further expense you won't have to find any spending money.good luck to you anyway0

thank you, thats a good idea - but obviously is dependant upon holiday conversation! If we are going then we will need that £100 each month for that. I am going to mention to DH today!Current Debt = LOTS - Must try harder!0

thank you - wont incur further expense but still feel we should cancel. have to get DH on board though!!Current Debt = LOTS - Must try harder!0

A Little update for those that may be interested. DH agrees that we will cancel holiday! phew!
although the bad news is that whilst i thought i would be able to plough the £1k i have saved into debts its looking less likely. the wall has been blown down at our rented property - excess there is £200, and then its so old we risk that they may not even pay out and so have a wall to pay for (only time will tell there!)
there is also some other debt i had forgotten about owed to a family member, they want that back in April (this was the agreement - a way for them to "save" it) - so thats £225 too.
reduces my £1000 to £775 but still at least i dont have to find all the extra holiday money too!Current Debt = LOTS - Must try harder!0

it would be better to use the money to pay of the most expensive debt, i.e. the Barclaycard.
as DFS is interest free, it will be cheaper to pay of something that has interest, as it will reduce the amount you have to pay0

thank you - we discussed this last night and came to this conclusion too - we are going to look at it all now that we have made a decision on the holiday!Current Debt = LOTS - Must try harder!0
