Irritated beyond belief

I didn't know whether this should go in health or relationships but as i am menopausal i thought maybe here :o
I'm 52 and haven't had a period for around 9 months, and apart from horrendous hot sweats which have become much less recently i have been fine.
But i find myself increasingly irritated by my OH (and yet fine with my children) just the way he talks, his mannerisms, the way he plonks himself down in the middle of the sofa leaving me scrunched up  the way when i go to bed he latches on to me making me even hotter (and not in a good way):rotfl:
I feel awful i have no affection for him and i snap and am just plain horrible to him :(
I love him to bits and he is an intelligent man and realises why i am this way but i do feel for him :o
I wondered if anyone else male or female has been like this or on the receiving end and how they dealt with it.

It might be worth you consulting a herbalist. A Chinese herbalist would be even better. Dong Quai is traditionally used by women during their menopause. Herbalife did sell a combination called Tang Kuei (not TK Plus) which worked very well for many women which contained Dong Quai and Chamomile.

Chinese herbalists work with the body to regulate the Qi energy systems, especially in your Liver and kidneys.

In the short term Chamomile tea might help a little and so will deep relaxation, especially of the right arm. Donq Quai and Chamomile made into a tea might help even more. Seeking professional advice from a herbalist would ensure that the herbs are tailored to your body.

If you can find out the herbs you need, then buying it in bulk would save money.

A warning: Chinese herbalists can be quite expensive so if you decide on this route then ask what it will cost! A herbalist that I was friendly with indicated the herbs on a price list that I had, while we were talking away from the herb shop, so I could get them cheaper from other places. It wasn't her herb shop, she worked there.

I'm in the same place as you.
My OH has learned that he makes me too hot in bed , yes I feel sorry for him but my own comfort comes first as I put up with misery of it every single dayi have an electric fan which is very quiet on my bedside table and I flick that on a few times a night! it is real life saver, so much better than flapping about like I used to.
Also, I plan on giving up booze again after our family have left next week. That really helped me last year when I did a dry January. It's just a shame that all of life's pleasures seem to be prohibited for us menopausal women!
I had a bad night last night after a Chinese stake away and a glass or two of wine. A healthy diet is also a help but I got fed with it and wandered off the path. I intend to start again, not to loose weight, though a few pounds off would be a benefit, just to feel better.
If you fancy a healthy eating/ no drinking buddy , I'll support you if you do me!

Difficult times, thankfully long behind me now. I think there are several herbs or supplements that might help, but recommend seeing a medical herbalist or dietician if you can, otherwise there are good publications from your local library which might help, the better ones point out the contra indications of products which is important if you have any medical conditions or taking medication or other supplements.

I remember always having a change of nightwear or an oversize T shirt by my bed to change into during the night, or sometimes would just wrap myself in a bath sheet and go back to bed. Try also running cold water over your wrists and wiping neck and chest area with wash cloth wrung out in cold water then returning to bed in clean garment. HTH :)

You might just find you're going through a phase in your relationship where 'familiarity breeds contempt' ;) and it's not your hormones. Otherwise you'd be growling at everyone, including your kids.

I call it 'having the right irrits' with someone but it does fade if you hang on in there. I had a bout of it after seven years with my hubby.
