new job new mortgage???

Is there anyone out there with financial advice for me? I'm pretty new here. I currently have a joint mortgage on my flat with my husband. We went travelling and he has a new job (3 months now). I am unemployed but start my new teaching job (permanent contract) from Sept. Most lenders say you should be in employment for 6 months. Does anyone know of any lenders who are flexible with this criteria and would be willing to give us a new mortgage as soon as I start work or at worst 3 months in? Reason for move is to be closer to our new jobs.

Thank You Sooo Much

    No problem there.

You need the services of a whole of market mortgage broker to marry up your circumstances with a lender.

Post your proposed property value, incomes, deposit, adverse history

Some lenders will agree the mortgage now for you based on your incomes (and the fact you will have a signed contract for the post you start in September)

  • wow that's great news! I thought it would be a lot harder. Thanks to all who replied. This site really does work....
  • Income 29000 and 18000 min. No adverse credit at all. Had current mortgage with Woolwich for 1yr. Currently on 2 yr fixed til Mar 2008(mortgage 135,000). We hope to sell our flat and have a deposit of £50k. New property price roughly £185000 max-although would prefer something less (wouldn't we all.)

Is you mortgage with the Woolwich portable?

Check with them first, as you may save yourself having to pay a redemption penalty.

Looking at your details it's all systems go, with no worries about getting a new mortgage.
