Hi all, and Happy New Year.
Well, I was thinking what will I do with all that leftover turkey and ham that's in the freezer for today's grub?
So I have to say, i searched the web, and found a recipe for brunch....
I adapted it last night, we have just had it, and there is nowt left!
It's basically a savoury bread and butter pud, but it was sooo scrummy.
Get the bread and put in an oven proof dish. Salt and pepper and seasoning, I used parsley.
Then whip up some eggs with seasoning and milk, and cream if you have it.
Place the leftover turkey and ham on top of the bread, and then pour over the egg/milk mixture. Press down well to soak it all up.
Either leave overnight, or for at least twenty minutes, then into the oven for 25/30 mins.
It puffs up so well, and is gorgeous.
Just thought I'd share.
You could do it in layers aswell. I didn't bother.
Enjoy.
