Do GHDs lose their effectiveness over time or...

Do G.H.D straighteners wear out as it were or is it just a case of becoming underwhelmed with their performance as time passes as you get less easily pleases?

My old ones are considerably less hot than my sisters new ones. So I'd say they wear out.

Had mine 10 years and still like new.

Although I hear the newer ones are nowhere near as good.

Would never buy them now, unless I could hunt down an old one.

I bought a set for my partner about five years ago, uses them daily with no complaints.

I had one set for 5 years and never noticed them cooling current ones I've got have had for 18 months and still like new
