Credit file clean up - when should it come off?

I went BR in June 2009, discharged June 2010. I have written to my ex creditors since 2010 to get hem to correct things.

As it stands HSBC and RBS show that I defaulted in June 2010 and it will be reported on my credit file until June 2016. Should it be June 2015?

Egg CC shows will be reported until August 2014 lol

Accounts drop off 6 years from the default date. The default date MUST be no later than your BR date, but can be before.

So with HSBC I presume the have the default date wrong as 2010. They must correct it to your BR date in 2009 instead, which would change the drop off date to 2015.

Egg. Presume they have an earlier default date in 2008? If so, then that is OK and can stay.

all 3 CRA's show JUNE 2015 as my BR expiring , looking again it seems that HSBC and RBS are only showing as JUNE 2016 on call credit (its 2015 on Equifax and Experian). Do I write again to them? what to say? Ive already had £150 compensation off HSBC in the summer after a complaint to the fincial ombudsman after they refused to update my credit file and also RBS gave me £30 for the same reason. And yet its still wrong with Call Credit . ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.

I dont even know what to write this time :( its so my hassle its been going on for 3 years trying to get this right.

Also I found a store card on my file from burtons (now santander) with £150 credit limit (nil balance) 'up to date' , I call Santander to close it and they have no record of any account for me! So im going to send a copy of my credit report showing it, so they can close it - wonder how long that will go on for !?! Or should I mention BR or will that just confuse it all

    HELP!!!!

Only a plus note after using my vanquis card for 2 years ive now been accepted for a 0% BT and purchase card from my bank lloyds -reverting to 17.9% after 24 months interest free :)

I want to send a letter again showing that the default date should be no later than the June 2009, as I have letter from both banks stating they have corrected it - albeit with the wrong year, I dont want to send the whole template letter again. Just the part which is the extract from the ICO staing that it need to be marked as my date of BR, however the link isnt working anymore

Any advice on how to word it?

part of the letter from RBS states

'The data on your credit report will reflect that you were discharged from bankrupcy on 19th June 2010 and your RBS mortgage was partially settled with the bank
    '

So it appears they are under the impression that the date should be 2010 not 2009 (yet its 2009 with the other CRA's)

Since it appears they have disregarded the FOS decision, may be worth getting in touch with them as well.

Thanks fermi, dont know why it didnt work for me before :o. I will include and extract and if they dont/wont change it then I will have to take it further again.

Im hoping with it being the correct date with the other CRA's its just a simple mistake and they will correct it.

Before BR welcome finance were the biggest pain in the bum and so nasty, but they corrected the my credit file straight away and wrote back saying they had, faultless service. Seems the main high street banks are the worst offenders in my case!
