  • As I was up at 4.45am this morning and unable to sleep I decided to squeegee my living room carpet (teenagers in bed and no particular desire to wake them) and this is the result

I have 2 dogs and 2 cats and Hoover religiously every day so was astounded to get this much hair out of the carpet.......

I think this may become an everyday job looking at what I got out.:o

Did you use the squeegee dry or did you damp the edge of it?

You could knit a new pet! ;)

I want a squeegee now! Scared though .... black dog and cream carpet!
  • I bought a squeegee today... I was shocked at how much hair came off my dining room carpet. I only have one little dog and vacuum at least twice a week! *shudders! Great tip!

This also works with 'rubber gloves' - just put them on and then pull your hands FIRMLY across the surface of your carpet. You CAN dampen them first, if you want to.

I found it worked best if I used the side of my hand - little finger to wrist :D.
