Thinking about what my money goals should be

What should my LT goals be?
Start a regular saving pot for predictable annual spends - Christmas, holidays, school uniforms etc
Build up a 'buffer' in my main account of about £1,500 (around half my monthly cashflow) which will remain there
Save up a pot equivalent to 6 months outgoings as emergency savings
Start paying down my mortgage because it currently stretches until my 70th birthday
Ideally I also need to begin throwing money into some kind of pension fund but I need to get the savings done first - amirite?
I just wonder what other people's approaches/thoughts are with regard to longer-term financial goals and planning.
