    I just Googled this and I think you need to spend £3 to get the toilet roll.

    Yes, got this from Sainsburys site
    Is there a minimum spend?
    Yes, there is a minimum spend of £3 with certain exclusions: prescription medicine, infant formula (legal), national lottery, scratch cards, stamps, e-top up, phone cards, petrol, gift tokens and cigarettes (legal).

    you need to spend £3 in store, on anything to get the loo roll, and it looks like there being given out by someone seperate from the tills, you present your receipt and get the loo roll, so with a bit of wombling it is completly free.

    from their website ;

    "I’m a fast track customer – do I get free toilet roll
    Yes, simply present your receipt to the colleague handing out the toilet roll."
    ...so it's not at the tills...somone is actually giving these out in exchange for a receipt
    Don’t ask what the world needs. Ask what makes you come alive, and go do it.
    Because what the world needs is people who have come alive.
  • Lets just say I have some inside knowledge on this one.
    When you spend £3 on Weds youll be given a voucher that you can use up until July for 2 free loo rolls.
    You have till July to spend it. Vouchers will be given out there and then by the cashier who serves you. Not by someoen seperate to the tills!

    Popped into Sainsbury's in Bromley, claimed my freebie, and on the way out I saw a tramp trying to flog some of it.

    "Bog tissue, sir. Bog tissue, madam" he was saying!
