Eon credit check and BR

I was declared BR in 2010, discharged the following year and since then I've managed to keep my full Santander account, I have cleaned up my credit files and am slowing rebuilding my life finance wise.
I have been with Scottish Power for a while, but decided to switch to Eon, but have just received an email saying they just need to do a credit check then they're good to go with the switch.
Will the BR on my file stop me opening an account with Eon? Has anyone managed to open an account with them post BR?

Hi wildheart83
Each application is looked at individually.
We certainly won't refuse to supply you. We may, though, be limited to the type of payment agreement we can offer. As I say, it'll depend on the individual circumstances.
Hope this helps.

Thanks for that Malc, I had to phone Eon today for something else and they confirmed that the account is set up, I could pay DD and they told me how much the DD would be. It's cheaper than who I was with
