Would there be any point raising what's been stated in the media today about this rise that isn't quite as celebratory as this thread?
Any point at all....?? No?
OK, I'll post a picture and a jumpy icon instead.

I have for anyone prepared to work hard for something. The thing is, they tend to already have what they were after (or at least are well on their way).
Those worse off tend to be waster scum mum layabout scroungers, or can't be bothered to work hard but are still happy to complain they aren't living the dream and can't understand why someone hasn't handed it to them on a plate yet.
Having worked every hour god sends (and more sometimes) for every single thing I have, whist watching others leaching benefits and wandering around aimlessly on weekdays, I have zero sympathy.0 -

Speaking for myself, I have loads of empathy since I was extremely poor once. Sympathy? No!
Just a bit of gratitude to those who pay a lot more tax than I do so that I don't have to pay more.
It took me almost 65 years to cotton on, but I stumbled across a revelation that as every day went by, I became richer than I was the day before. This led me to a theory that the older we are, the more money we can have. When I was a mere 22 year old with a total wealth of £38.51, I became absolutely gobsmacked that this number went up every year, simply by spending less than I earned.
Maybe they should teach this radical theory in school?
I've smartened up your Christmas Lights a bit.0 -

Just think about how passionate you are about this subject and how little you do about it. Looking down your nose at the 'pro-HPI brigade' isn't going to change a thing. And if you can't get off your high horse and do something about it then who's going to?0 -

I'd love to know what you want me to do about it.
One of your finest posts is that. I even posted a jumpy icon and a success picture to join in with you all, and you still attempt to throw together some weird old "have a go" post

Not suggesting you try out for Prime Minister but a lot of parish councillor positions in the South-West go uncontested these day. Why not give it a go?
I'm thinking about it in Cornwall - I'd love to see their faces when a second-homer turns up because nobody else could be arsed to put themselves forward.
If I thought there really was a problem and was as passionate as you I'd be doing loads more. I'm not sure you're as bothered as you make out to be honest if you need to ask a 'pro-HPI' for advice. Maybe you care more about the rough and tumble of arguing about house prices more than house prices themselves (like me).0 -
You do like to exaggerate!
And I know you like arguing....you'll make up anything to get a response!0 -
