I can't recommend any in Manchester but I would definitely say to make sure it's one you can actually get to and don't fall for the low prices of the online conveyancers. At least if you go with a local firm, if things seem to slow down, you will have somewhere you can go and be a nuisance til it's resolved

When obtaining quotes, if you see separate costs for "acting for mortgage lender" and "completing stamp duty land tax return" keep shopping around as the better firms include such costs in their headline fee and don't charge separately for them.
