I realise this is a bit out on a limb for a money saving site but we are a sensible bunch and im looking for sensible advice!

I have a diesel bmw and want to get it remapped but am having difficulties finding anyone who can say which compant to go for.

I have found 3 which get good write ups
DMS in lisburn
Torquetronics in kells
and OBD in Ballymena

ANyone any dealings with any of these people?

Ps wanting to get this done to improve drivability as oppossed to being a moron in bangor on a sunday.

    Hi Buddy,
First thing you want to do is register on www.ni-bmw.co.uk
I'm one of the mods on there & you'll get a warm welcome. I also want to point out that it's an online BMW community that is not a business in anyway so shouldn't affect posting rules on this site.
A few of the guys on there have had remaps done and should be able to help you.
    Good luck

For all things BMW related I'd recommend a guy out in Comber......I had some problems with my turbocharger a few years ago and he sorted it out quickly and was easy to pay (for a turbocharger!).....they're called GP Turbos and can be found in the Yellow Pages, I'll PM you the phone number. Not sure how he is on tuning up but he'll be able to point you towards someone who can do it for you if he can't.

You could also try some of the BMW forums like those above or on BMW world.
Life in this world is, as it were, a sojourn in a cave. What can we know of reality? For all we can see of the true nature of existence is, shall we say, no more than bewildering and amusing shadows cast upon the inner wall of the cave by the unseen blinding light of absolute truth, from which we may or may not deduce some glimmer of veracity, and we as troglodyte seekers of wisdom can only lift our voices to the unseen and say humbly "Go on, do deformed rabbit again.....it's my favourite". © Terry Pratchett in "Small Gods"

    Yes, i've used OBD - www.obd-auto-tune.co.uk

My BMW diesel is now around 340 BHP with a remap from them. They offer a full 30 day refund / return to standard policy - but you wont want to!

Very decent people - they even bought me breakfast!

Car will be more responsive, noticably quicker, noticably torquier, and more economical.

    Highly recommended!
