Rachelbr21,
Some news, though i cant say for sure yet.
Managed to find out from the broker today that the full offer has been offered, i also have a soft copy in PDF format.
But the term is wrong (doesn't bother me to much tbh) but i did tell the broker.
My other half rang Halifax this afternoon to make sure we had the right address for our solicitors forms, only to be told there was a note that needed amending and it had gone back to the underwriters !!!
Im now officially crapping myself as i don't know why, though it could just be to amend the term ? don't know.
They said not to worry and it would be amended within 24hrs and another offer issued.
If you could cross your fingers i would appreciate it !0 -
Sorry Din85 only just seen your reply! Any news? My fingers are crossed for you. I'm sure everything will be fine it sounds like it is if it's only an amendment.
We have been declined on the full credit check by Halifax because of my car finance however, good news, we have passed the full credit checks with nationwide and they have said we can go ahead as long as I either get rid of the car or reduce the payments. My MA says usually they just take your word for it if you say you will and don't usually check but I'd rather sort it as you never know. So were just trying to sort this now  going to ring my finance company tomorrow and see what they can do for us! I'm hoping they will let me pay a chunk off and reduce the payments. Nightmare!0 -
2 Parts firstly Din, term is a change of product and a new product accepted. If everything is fine and within affordability, this should re-offer automatically. Your broker is probably just not aware, rather than anything sinister.
Rachel - Nationwide are highly likely (almost guaranteed) to make this a term of the mortgage offer and specify and request your solicitor double checks regarding the payment.
Get it sorted, or get written confirmation from your broker as this is not normally the case.
