Lakeland sale delivery problems

Hi know a lot of people have made online sales with Lakeland.
I received my delivery today but it was not mine - it was an order for someone in Norwich!
I have phoned Lakeland who admitted there has been a huge mix up with wrong orders going out from the Warehouse and basically they will send a courier to collect this order and there is a high chance mine will not arrive.
They can't re sent it either even if it arrives back to them in a few weeks so I have now lost over half my sale order and am not happy.
They are ringing my nearest store to see if they have any of the out of stock items and can reserve them for me to collect £7 train fare to my nearest store!
This has not happened to all sale orders but to a lot - so be prepared you may to get the right order.
I will wait to see what the next phone call brings but this is most unlike Lakeland - I said I was happy to wait a few weeks until my parcel arrives back but have been told it can not be re sent - which I am not happy about. The whole thing with mail order for me is not having to carry it back by train and to get what I wanted in the sale online. Most unlike Lakeland who's customer services have always been great - not sure I will be ordering online again in the future - annoying as my most local store 20 miles away is closing in a week.
I'm also concerned someone else out there has my order details and house address.
Anyone else had problems?

As you say, VERY unlike Lakeland.
Give them a call and ask about who might have your order details/address - it is likely to be only the courier company (usually Hermes) and then only your address. Don't think you need to worry too much; even if someone else has your order details, Lakeland don't sell anything you'd be ashamed to buy, surely...?
Irritating for you? Boy, it must be.0 -
No all nice items I'd ordered and now won't get most of - I get them for birthday and Christmas gifts and for me. I'm just a bit funny about security having had cards done twice I'm careful who gets my information.
I've phoned them and my order has gone to someone else and if it gets back to them it is not possible for them to re send it.
They are checking my nearest store for stock if any of the items are in stock I'd have to go there to collect them (20 miles £7 by train)
Other items not sold out can be re sent. It's all just hassle and seems a bit off - I've asked for couriers Yodel to collect the wrong parcel - hope the customer gets her order in Norfollk eventually.
Most unlike Lakeland - think someone's in trouble in the warehouse - never had a problem before its just a shame if its hundreds of orders for sale items as people will be disappointed. Typically I've seen what I brought in the shops since but didn't get as I'd done mail order on Christmas Eve!Sealed Pot Challenge number 8 Amount declared £365.50.

Ah feel bad grumbling now as had a phone call back and all is sorted - few items I won't get but others at local store and some arriving tomorrow. Customer services are now sorting everything out.
If anyone gets the wrong order delivered - ring Lakeland as they are trying to sort this all out - appears to be a machine fault.Sealed Pot Challenge number 8 Amount declared £365.50.

As previous poster said - it is so unlike Lakeland.
Have always found that their Customer Services is second to none and if a mistake is made, they really do do everything that they can to rectify it.0 -
really not happy ive received 1 item out of my order the other 2 boxes contained items for a person in leeds and I think the other was maybe london area . My order is high value and was made over a week ago . I expected it to be possibly new year before it arrived I didnt expect to get other peoples items and not what I ordered . one of my items is a hamper I doubt very much that will be arriving at my house .
ive rung lakeland they will be picking up the wrong 2 boxes next week I only hope that everyone else is as honest and sends the wrong parcels back . Ive never ever had a problem with lakeland but after this I really don't know what to do all I got was a oh we are sorry its not just you its happened to quite a few people . Ive no idea how things have managed to get messed up like this . I was expecting around 3 boxes I got 3 but only one was mine . there was a cheese grater and a pizza cutter in one box you can imagine my suprise when I was supposed to be getting a wicker hamper . very unhappy customer .
there was a small slow cooker in the other both these parcels are going back so if the people who ordered them are reading this they should eventually get them to you if by any chance you happen to have an order with an hamper and a load of christmas stuff that isn't yours please contact lakeland and send it back thankyou .
sorry for grumpy first post but i came across this post when googling to see if anyone else had had problems there isn't even a sorry we have messed up on their website very disapointing lakeland !!!:mad:0
