Sent a "Prove it" letter - received 23rd December ROP

They must've forwarded it to a different office - I sent it on 14th to an address in Edinburgh that was on the letters. I received confirmation from Royal Mail that it was delivered from Rotherham on 23rd. Anyway, I googled and they have another office in Rotherham.
When is their 12 days up? I don't even know when they're working over xmas/new years. I think I should give them until the 12th ish of December?

Not time limit at all on a prove letter. Letter when you know nothing about about the debt - AKA "Prove it" letter

So what happens if they don't reply?0

Just wait.
If they don't reply then that's the end of the story for you, if they send a further demand then follow up with a "I refer you to my previous letter dated xxx....
Don't worry, unless they are taking you to court then you wait.
But like Fermi asks, was it a cca request?I'm Debt Free :j 2/09/2013

It was that one? I want it taken off my credit report too though - what do I do?0 -
What sort of debt are they claiming?
Contact the CRA and add a dispute to the default at the very least.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB

Unless you have a default on your credit file then may be worth letting them stew. Or of course if they send more threatening letters.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB

why not ask orange if you have an account already?Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0
