                    When we start out on the Debt-Free Wannabe trail we do loads of big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the Gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free...
Examples could be hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.:money:
Morning :wave: oh jeez I've woke up late on my first day back! :eek: quick coffee to wake up then I need to spring into action!
Small things for the day:
* check banking
* work hard!
* call boss and see if she is ok with me working from home
* get something out of freezer for dinner tonight. Sausage & mash to use up lo mash
* lo Christmas dinner soup for lunch mmmmm
* NSD
* return 2 things during lunch break for bigger sizes
* drop off a bag at the cs
* paint radiator
* db coming to continue tiling bathroom :j
* iron bundles of baby clothes to list on facebay/ebay
* going to the gym after work
* early night as can't over sleep tomorrow!
* continue writing out month's meal plan/shopping list
Ok that's my lot. Have a great day everyone x

            So today I will/have:
-check online banking
-work 7.5 hr shift
-made dinner from what I have at home to bring to work
-write some of my essay
-ring gp to see if I can get pregnancy vitamins on prescription instead of buying some
-put a couple of small cheques in the bank that have been hanging round the house for ages towards paying off my overdraft
-Add £1 to my £1 per day savings jar
-put any coins up to 20p in terramundi pot
-Go food shopping, sticking to what is on my list compiled yesterday
-Got petrol from a certain place in order to get clubcard points - also cheapest in the area
-Do Adpoints
-Hit goal on Swagbucks
-Buy a plastic tub to put washing powder in (we have damp under sink so the box keeps getting wet and it's wasting lots)
-find voucher for free changing bag before it expires
-use candles in front room instead of heating if it gets too cold
-find my diary!!0 -
            Happy new year DFW people
Today we are back home from a few days away with family.
Today will be the start of clearing up/ putting some decorations away, dusting and what is for dinners.....
Bins were emptied today. Wash mountain to do.
HM delivery grocery coming this morning. It is not just food though, when I put all the other non grocery on the list as well = bleach, disinfectant, toilet rolls, kitchen rolls, air freshener refill. I all adds up.
Over NY I spent £4 in a charity shop. Went mad and opened the safe (purse). I bought a lovely bag with pink flowers on to put my knitting in. I got fed up with my old bag. £2 and x2 chair seat pads that I am going to recover = crafting.£1 each.
I said I did not want to go to the sales when invited. No need, to walk around the shops in the cold and rain. Nothing I needed to buy.
Anyway, back home last night. I have some new photo's to put on my computer. New photos to print off and put on my wall.
Lots of people are back to work today and for once it is not raining.
Have a good day everyone.The secret to success is making very small, yet constant changes.:)0 -

            Afternoon all!
mary hinge you reminded me I need to put in a mileage claim form for the job I have just left to make sure it goes in my final salary payment! Thank you :-)
- NSD today, only went out this morning to take dogs for a lovely sunny walk and get some free exercise but no need to go out again, enjoying the last few days of holiday before work starts again on Monday.
- unfortunately our garage roof hole has got MUCH worse and it completely flooded, so I spent a lot of this morning undertaking a bit of a rescue operation - this means I am going to have to get someone to come and fix it, which I can't really afford but it has to be done. Thankfully my neighbour has got a roofer friend who is going to come and look at it tomorrow, and apparently he shouldn't be too expensive.
- online banking checked
-ebay sale item checked, no bids yet but plenty of watchers and a few days left to go.
- greenmetropolis account checked, £7.50 in there which I will withdraw and use towards CC debt.
- BLD from stores, using up left overs.
- January meal plan to do today.
- booked cinema tickets for free thanks to clubcard for tmrw night - looking forward to a night out just me and OH.
- checked freepostcodelottery
- need to chase up a refund for a Christmas gift I ordered but never arrived.
- time to tackle the paperwork mountain in the spare room and file it away properly.
Have a lovely Thursday :-)Clearing debt to save for a simple wedding.Starting 2016 With debt of £77000 -
