am off to Cuba we are going to stay in part in Casas which are like B&B. They don't have hairdryers so need to take one. Can take my ordinary one but wondered if I would be better off with a travel one - space and weight wise - but don't know if they get reasonable hot - if not it would just annoy me as have thickish hair!
Thanks
                Thanks

You may possibly want to take the trouble to find out if Cuba uses the same voltage as the UK.
You could maybe find this information on Google, on the holiday company website (FAQ's) or even the hotel website.
If it is the same (or nearly) you will be OK, if greatly different then NO0

I understand the conversion its not a problem just asking for comments on travel hairdryers. Thanks0

I would take a travel on for weight but to be honest with humidity it won't matter as your hair will 'puff' out after styling anywY.
I have been to Mexico 4 times and your hair isn't worth attptong to over style as far too hot

so, are the travel hairdryers moderately powerful? I just like to blowdry my hair, not so much a posh style!0

My compact hair dryer I had a while back was the most powerful hairdryer I've had! It wasn't a fold up one, but a small one. That was my only hair dryer for about 10 years. As long as you get a known brand I think you should be fine.0

My little fold-up one I use for camping is fine. Its made by Opal London. Hair needs to be dried in slightly narrower sections due to the nozzle being smaller than a mainstream dryer, but it's good. I also have a pair of camping straighteners made by BaByliss - length 15cms, width 2cm - excellent and lightweight too.0

Check the wattage on your actual hairdrier and choose the travel one with highest wattage and you will have most powerful available.0

I've been using a small mark hill hairdryer all year. Drys my hair really quick but I do have fine straight hair.0

Babyliss do a good one, its 2000w and it folds. Dual voltage, which is what made me buy it, for trips to USA. It was under £15 I think.0

            HI
I got a travel hairdryer with my GHD straighteners, and it is the best ever, you can change the voltage if need be on it, but to my knowledge most travel hairdryers are pretty powerful, but in Cuba you will end up like Monica off Friends when she was in Barbados, thats how I always look no matter how much time I spend drying and straightening my hair......:eek::eek:Sam B0
