Quick question for anyone who has an online National Lottery account.
I checked my account this morning and £149 has been added simply titled 'Adjustment'. It has nothing to do with a winning ticket as the win would say ticket number etc etc and allow you to click on the ticket.
Obviously if I query this with the National Lottery they will recognise it's a mistake and take back the money.
Has this happened to anyone before and if so, what was the outcome?

I would ring them, because if it is a mistake, at audit time they could just take it back at any time.
Sounds as if they have underpaid you on a previous win as they say 'adjustment'
.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
Sorry to bump such an old thread, but did anyone ever get an answer to this?
I too had an 'adjustment' payment this weekend, although mine was only £10.0 -
Ring them, find out. No one can tell you for sure what this was and in any case, if there was a mistake and the money is not yours, you are not entitled to spend it.Debt Free! Long road, but we did it

Ring being the operative word.
I find it bizarre that they have no online help - not even via email - as they state that the internet is not secure! Really makes me want to give them my debit card details online!0 -
Sorry I should have came back to this Thread ages ago (forgot I started it!).
I eventually worked out the problem. When adding funds to my account, the NL incorrectly took the payment two or three times rather than once. The 'adjustment' was therefore a rebate.
Hope this helps!Debt at Start of DMP in October 2009 - £45,000

Checked my bank balance and yes, they have taken my deposit twice.
Bit naughty of them to a) fail to notify me of this and b) not return my funds. Technically, I can't even withdraw this, because there is a £20 minimum withdrawal. :mad:0
