How are you confirming that it is swagbucks that is casing these issues?
mine didnt like to toolbar when i installed it so that soon went, but now use the chrome extension without issue,
No other problems in the short time i have been on swagbucks, i do tend to stay away from any offers that need to install anythign but you say it was not offers
Chrome said swagbucks had installed it and asked me if I wanted to allow it to run or not.
I also checked/googled the name and origin of the particular malware cookie I removed and it did indeed come from swagbucks. As if that weren't conclusive I only EVER have malware and problems when I've used swagbucks. I've only ever had problems with programmes on my computer when I've had malware from swagbucks (twice before but not this bad and I put it down to a fluke). The times I've stayed away, I have no problems at all.
No, I don't do the offers, I use pretty robust protection on my laptop but I also try to be careful with downloads. I value my expensive technology far too much to expose it to some dodgy download. I'd believed that SBTV and the SB site itself were relatively safe.
It doesn't really matter to me what anyone else thinks, we all make our own choices, but for £15-50 a month SB just isn't worth the risk to me.
I'm leaving the thread now. I just wanted to put the information out there in case anyone else is having problems.2022. 2% MF challenge. £730/30000 -
