it was about £23+£5 P+P for a phone that has SIM problems and no wall charger but works fine for wi fi and has a USB charger lead.
I am an iphone person so have no idea if this is a good deal or not - I just wanted the cheapest nastiest android phone to simply hammer the battery/swagbuck apps rather than my new iphone 6!
hopefully it will be a good investment !
Do the Swagbucks apps work on older Android phones?0 -
559 bonus for me
October was the first full SB month for me and I didn't know we had a huge amount of points come in like that - I hadn't put much thought into it TBH - very pleased! Shame I spent so much time on SBTV this morning getting my bucks up, though!Jan NSD 4/15

carphonewarehouse have a 3" android kitkat LG L20 PAYG phone for £19-95 +£10 topup ... don't have one myself but should work ok via wi-fi for the SB apps.... would take around 70 days using all 4 apps at current rates to pay for it's self.
It would also give you a spare phone number to user on offers that you could ignore most of the time.0 -

Can I ask, how much you roughly paid for the cheap android phone?
I share your jitters in so much as, I was saying for paypal but then after the site went down a few weeks ago for maintenance it panicked me that in the blink of an eye I could lose the lot so I cashed out. Now since hearing of the impending sale I have been saving up again but when the site goes dodgy like yesterday and tonight it concerns me again, suppose like most things, it is a risk we take.
I've voiced my concerns on the Swagbucks page a few times over recent months, whenever things are looking dodgy, just to warn other users not to hold bucks in their account and to cash out ASAP. Now SBUK is getting really jittery and has taken to claiming they have had $70 million of investment. What he fails to understand is that is the US site and if this model doesn't work well in Britain, they can pull the plug at any time. I just get called a killjoy etcMinimalist

....... Now SBUK is getting really jittery and has taken to claiming they have had $70 million of investment. ......
from an article in the LA Times it was $60m and a new CEO took over back in May. Also Swagbucks said it generated $53 million in revenue last year.... makes me wonder why the often only pay about 60% of what some other sites do for CF tasks and offers.
The article also notes how the new CEO has been CEO of a couple of large sellouts in the past.0 -
