    £2.02 in Lidls today on some pastries/rolls for DD and I for lunch and £3.00 in the children's bags for their snack money for the week at school.

    Meal planner done for the week, we had hm chicken curry tonight instead of our usual Sunday roast. I used a tin of coconut milk I got from home bargains for 59p and added chopped garlic and ginger (also from HB), a couple of tablespoons of curry powder, some chicken stock, tomato puree and onion, peas, chickpeas, cauli and chicken. Sounds gross but it was lovely :)

    Sausages, garlic mash and brocolli for tea tomorrow night and it should be a NSD :D

    You could try taking cash to around the amount you want to spend, just until you gain more discipline. It worked for me :)

    :eek: It doesn't have to be that extreme, just leave it at home :rotfl:

    Another NSD :j

    Slept in so just had toast and jam for dinner, while hubby (he was working) had a banana sandwich.

    I made some jam tarts this afty, some for now and some for the freezer, and the parsnip/Stilton quiche, which has gone in the fridge. It does look tasty, so shall be trying it tomorrow and the rest portioned up for the freezer.

    Went to my sisters, along with the rest of the family, and she'd made a lovely Indian meal, and sent us all home with a chickpea salad and bread. I know what I will be having along with the quiche tomorrow :)

    I put the left over pastry in the fridge and will make something else tomorrow. I am really enjoying this challenge, and realising how much money I've wasted with not keeping an eye on the budget and throwing away food because I couldn't be bothered!

    Sorry but freezing in a bag of water does not work, my friend had this idea but it took her only a couple of minutes to defrost it in warm water she solved her problem by giving her card to her DGD
    to hide for her :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
