Well, after 2 weeks am finally settled into new house. The mortgage company have only sent us a "please pay your mortgage2 letter, and not acted on the suspended posession order...yet.
I was wondering - do we tell them we have moved or what? or just let them take it when they are ready?
Am definately thinking that BR in my name only - not partners - may be the best way forward, but have to wait so that I can include the outstanding amount for the house.
Have been to see careers advice bod. He thinks I should just do volunteering, like driving people around etc, and whilst that is very honourable I really want to train to qualify as something with a "career". Am really interested in nursing and midwifery, so will see what happens.
I got £835 in bank charges back from the Woolwich on Friday too, so at least have some money for the rest of the month. OH starts new job tomorrow and will get the rest of his contract and will look to see if there is anything about him going br in it.
Oh well, hope you are all having a good weekend xxx

Hi NME,
It doesn't really matter whether you tell the mortgage company or not but I would give them a ring if only to expedite the process; it'll be another job done and out of the way.
As for the timing of your bankruptcy any shortfall will be included in your bankruptcy even if you declare before the house is sold. We weren't certain about that until recently but we've managed to find the relevant guidelines:
http://bankruptcy.informe.com/treatment-of-mortgage-shortfalls-during-bankruptcy-dt148.html
Your partner will still be liable for the shortfall though if he doesn't declare bankruptcy.
Good luck with the careers fact finding and congratulations with the bank charges refund; a holiday perhaps?:j
What a weekend, never got five minutes peace
Best regards
