  • Hi Judi

Aaah guess it might not be worth all the aggravation, for such a small amount and no gurantees that you will get it.

Oh well onwards and upwards xxx

Been AWOL for months and really not doing well at all!!!! Gone through my accounts and the balance on my CC's have bearly changed since Jan - so much for 9 months to CC debt free!!!! I guess the good thing is they haven't gone up! Just not gone down and I really don't feel like my money is working for me at all!!!

So an update and regroup is needed!
Things that have changed - well my eldest is in Thailand for 7 weeks comes home and graduates then moves to Hull to work. She never did pay her rent!!!! It bacame a constant battle and I gave in - she gave me a guilt trip about me not giving her any money for Thailand and I did feel sad that i wasn't in a position to give her something!!!
My DS is now living at his Dad's - long story but basically his behaviour got worse and worse and I had a meltdown and asked his dad to take him - my DS now hates me and refuses to come home! His dad stopped paying child support the day he went to stay there - which I guess is to be expected as I have 1 child and he has the other so I can't expect him to pay anything!
Money wise then I am £280 down a month and I am so fed up with not having any spare money but not getting anywhere with debt - so much so I have looked in remortgaging and paying debt off once and for all! I know you will all gasp and tell me not to be so stupid but I am just so sick of treading water! I want my unfinished ensuite done and I have massive conifers in the front garden that need taking down as thier roots are damaging the drive and could end up affecting house foundations - but i need the whole front drive doing! I also will probably need a new boiler - I paid repairs last Christmas and was told then it really needed replaced but it is playing up again and I am worried it needs condeming!

I got a mortgage quote that included paying off my 15k debt and borrowing the money to do the bits in the house and it would only be £100 more than current mortgage payments! I know I would be paying more in the long run but I just feel stuck in a rut and think that maybe using some of the house equity would give me better quality of life while the kids are still young!!! Then again I could sell and downsize and have a smaller mortgage! I just can't decide what to do

Oh and just to top my money stupidity off I bought a dress online and totally forgot that I signed up for a credit account! have been ignoring post and didn't realise that I hadn't set up a Direct debit! Result is I forgot to pay! and have now got a red box on my credit reference file for the first time in years so wont get another 0% CC to balance transfer to anytime soon

I feel out of control and unable to make any decent decisions about anything - as you can see from my ramblings - just need to work out how to refocus!!!!

Sorry to hear that things haven't been going well.
Doesn't sound like it's a good time to make such important financial decidions? Perhaps get things under control first and then decide.
