I live in street so may pop down to have a look,doubt the offer will be there today. I very rarely shop in sainsbury as I find it so expensive!

Checked out my local Sainsbury and they did have a Manager's Special on haddock but it was just a 10% reduction so still really expensive and the pieces looked very skimpy.

I used to buy frozen haddock in Farmfoods, tasted good but very odd sized pieces. Was £5 per kg then price went up a little (£5 for 900g I think). Yesterday I bought frozen haddock from Iceland (£4 for 650g IIRC) and we had it for supper tonight. I'd recommend it: good size fillets and very tasty.

I'll keep looking in Sainsbury's but doubt I'll be buying there any time soon.

I too also buy the Iceland smoked haddock, though recently the pieces seem to have got smaller and developed odd shapes! The flavour is still good though. I only bought the Farmfoods smoked haddock once and threw it away, the smoked taste was so overpoweringly fake it made me feel sick!

Another vote for Iceland smoked haddock. I buy it for the OH, we've tried other brands but he says this is the best.
