Hi All,
Thought it would be interesting for those of us interested in beauty products to list our favourite products for 2013.
They don't necessarily have to be a "Holy Grail" product, they could just be a past favourite or just the item we are currently using until we find our HG.
I've tried to list all the items I could think of but if you can think of some others, let me know and I'll update this post.
Obviously we won't all use everything listed so just complete those that you do.
Looking forward to hearing about all your faves and perhaps this time next year we can list our 2014 favourites to see if they've changed.

I will leave the list below blank so it is easier to copy and paste, and list my faves in a separate post.

LOVE this! I haven't found a lot of my HG products yet as I have really only gotten into skincare and make up in a big way this year. Bit late to the party :rotfl: Sorry if this is a bit of a wordy post!

Cleanser: Product I have used the most this year is TBS Nutriganics Cleansing Gel Oil but not sure if this is my HG yet. It doesn't break me out though which is a definite plus. Just started using REN Clarifying Clay cleanser too.

Make-up remover: Don't tend to use a separate one although I use the Nivea Daily Essentials Eye make up remover. Again not sure if it is HG but is good (and cheap) enough!

Toner: La Roche Posay Effaclar Astringent Lotion

    Facial wipes: Don't use

Serum: Don't use but want to start using

Eye cream: Haven't found my HG yet

    Day moisturiser: Same as above

    Night moisturiser: Same as above

Lip balm: Not very good at using this either!

Face mask: Have been using the Superfacialist Deep Clean Clay Mask but not sure if it is HG yet

Face scrub: Don't use these anymore, want to use other exfoliating toners but haven't got on well with others I have tried yet. Lots more I want to try though like the Pixi Glow tonic and the Alpha H Liquid Gold.

Spot treatment: La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo - definite HG

Sunscreen: Again I am not very good at using this day to day and need to be

Shower gel: No HG really but I love TBS Grapefruit shower gel

Bath product: Lush bubble bars (love most of them)

    Soap: Don't like soap!

Body scrub: The Sanctuary Hot Sugar Scrub

Body lotion: TBS Vanilla Body butter or The Sanctuary Body Butter are both faves

Perfume: Thierry Mugler Angel is probably my favourite but have a few others that I wouldn't be without too.

Shampoo: Don't really have a HG, switch around a lot

Conditioner: I really like the Loreal Ever Riche conditioner, the smell is lovely. Not sure it is HG though.

    Hair treatment: Don't really use

Hair styling product: Redken Satinwear blow dry lotion (thanks luvlycake!) this has been a revolution for my hair :rotfl: I use a lot less heated appliances on my hair these days

Dry shampoo: Batiste but again I am not sure it is HG although I never seem to try anything else!

Primer: Bourjois Matte Primer - again not sure it is HG but is the best mattifying primer I have found so far

Foundation: Bare Minerals Matte foundation - this combined with the above seems to keep my skin matte longer than anything else has before

    Concealer: Collection lasting perfection concealer

Face powder: Don't tend to use as my foundation does this job too

Blusher: Max Factor miracle touch cream blusher in soft pink

Bronzer: Don't tend to use very often, still looking for HG contouring product

Highlighter: Hmm, still looking for HG I think although I have been liking Benefit High Beam recently

Eyeshadow or palette: I love the Naked palettes, couldn't choose one :o

Eyeliner: Don't use very often either

Eyebrow pencil: Soap and Glory Brow Archery in Blonde - recent discovery and love this

Mascara: Another vote for Benefit They're Real, definite HG for me

Lipstick: Bourjois Colour Boost Lip Crayon in Prune

Lip gloss: Don't like lip gloss

Base coat: Don't use a specific base coat or top coat, just a clear nail varnish

Nail polish: I only discovered Essie nail polishes this year and I love them. Great brush and long lasting colour.

    Top coat: See base coat

Nail polish remover: Still haven't found my HG of this either! Need something that can remove glitters easily.

ONE (yes only one!) product you can't live without: Mascara

Best beauty budget buy under £5: I think I will give another vote for the Maybelline colour tattoos, they are fantastic just all over the lid for someone who is not very good at applying eyeshadow (me) :rotfl:

I don't know how helpful my ramblings are to other people really as like I said I haven't found many of my HGs yet. Look forward to reading other peoples.

If I could add a beauty gadget that I love it would be my Boots No7 magnifying mirror that has an inbuilt light...Ohh the mirror of truth!

Since I've had this I have not had to get my eyebrows threaded as I can see in such (Gruesome) detail I can do a great job myself. Oh the Horror when I saw my upper lip hair in great detail

Oh and I'd like to mention that if you're looking for make-up brushes, buy Real Techniques as they're worth their weight in gold and the best thing to clean them with is No7 Cleansing water spritzed on kitchen towel :D
