First time buyers....Help

Me and my wife are looking at buying our first house and are going to view a house on Monday (after going in to enquire at the estate agents) we asked if we needed a mortgage in principle before we started viewing but they told us we can look just we wouldn't be able to put a offer in without one, does any one know a decent mortgage adviser/broker in the bradford area to look at getting a mortgage in principle to start the ball rolling as we don't want to go to our bank and just be offered there own mortgages

I don't think it matters too much who the agreement in principle is from. We got one from Nationwide and made the offer that was accepted on the basis of that, but the actual mortgage we got was from Halifax.
