"Fake" sales-what cons have you noticed this year?

Amongst the 'sales' this year I noticed:
A French connection skirt at 50% off for sale at 32.50-with a 'was' price of 64.00-hmm funny I saw the same skirt in the York branch for 52.00 prior to Xmas.
A shoe in kurt Geiger labelled at 'was £105 then £39 now £25-with a proper price tag underneath of £39-I doubt it was ever £105!!
What else have people noticed?list them here so we can all be savvy

Currys are advertising a MacBook Air 13" for £949 with £200 off, this machine was never sold at the price listed as the specs listed can be ordered from Apple direct for £1029.00 and has been since launch. So would be £80 off.0

This is a good thread to help people know what to look out for, but is not a Grabbit - have asked a moderator to move.0

Sofas at Harveys.. been looking at the Onyx, it was in the sale pretty much most of last year, went up to the full price just before Christmas only to come back down to the same sale price on Boxing day0

Dyson DC44 at Homebase. On Xmas Eve it was £229.99 - 20% = £183.99. On Xmas Day it suddenly became £299.99 - 20% = £239.99 (dearer post sale than pre sale without "discount"). It's been OOS for a couple of days now.
Who do they think they're trying to kid :mad:0 -
I want to buy a Bluetooth speaker, but as all the prices I can find have nearly doubled in all shops since Christmas, I can not wait for these faux sales to end so i can buy what I want at the price it was all year before Christmas.
Do people really fall for this con trick.
