Personally I wouldn't recommend Hughes with their admin fees and additional premiums for adjustments to policies.0

We didn't come across this. We took out a policy for an Audi TT which we owned at the time but didn't make any changes before ending it when we sold the car. I can't remember if there were any admin charges, all I know is that the price was satisfactory.0 -

Just to top it off they got my details incorrect and the new car I put onto the policy seems to have defaulted back to my previous car - oh dear.0 -
I have been with AXA for a number of years on two cars. AXA are always competitive on price and additionally they have a breakdown/recovery insurance which is second to none. I have had to call on it on a couple of occasions and they have been fantastic, -0

Personally I've been with NFU (National Farmers Union) for years... And no..... you don't have to be a farmer to use them.
I've found them competitive but most of all VERY VERY helpful when I've had queries or need assistance.
One example of this.......... I lost my documents in a house move and I needed them urgently. I have my policy with the Portadown Branch but they re-printed them all to the Lisburn Branch for me as it was closer to my work that same day so I could pick them up all with no charge........
They were also rated top insurer by Which last year or year before I believe..... couldn't fault them...... now even have my house insurance with them........
Personally though price can be a big factor....... customer service is also a big thing to consider also in my view...0 -

As I say though, it's their customer service I like, really couldn't help you enough and there's none of that old..... oh there'll be an administration charge for that if you need anything from them..........
I think it could be down to the fact that although they are obviously linked to the NFU, the actual individual businesses are, I believe, run like franchises so still have that family company feel to them...0
