Wedding rings - how much time needed?

Options
Hi,

Just thinking about getting wedding rings sorted. Anyone know how much time I would need if they didn't have our sizes in the shop? Or how long they take if we order them off the internet?

Cheers!

Thanks. I thought it would be ok but had a mini panic that we need to prioritise them. Definitely need the rings!

  • I also got mine from the jewellery quarter in Birmingham.

They didn't have the ring I wanted in my size. The man in the shop said he could resize the shop ring within 30 mins so I could take it away that day. I opted to have a new one made for me and it took just under two weeks - but this was at the start of December when it was busy with Christmas orders.
  • I think it really depends - ours were made especially for us - took 4 weeks, but he did ask if we needed sooner (we didn't) so I presume they could be made quicker if needed.
  • We've just bought ours, also from the jewellery quarter in Birmingham! The lady said they'll take 3-4 weeks to be delivered xx

    Hi miss teach,

Would you be able to tell me which store in jewellery quarter you visited, there's so many I would prefer a recommendation, also you are my date twin!!

Mine came from Ritz jewellery - quite a small shop on Vyse street.

We looked around most of the shops in the area over the course of two weekends! My engagement ring is a marquis cut sapphire surrounded by two diamonds so the wedding band needed to be shaped to fit around it. Most of the wishbone rings I tried were just a little too severe in shape and left a gap. The ring in Ritz was a perfect fit. I'm extremely happy!

We ordered my fiance's ring yesterday. They didn't have the size he needed but apparently it'll be in-store on Thursday :)
