    I have these.

They're great, really thick bottomed so nothing burns and they go in the dishwasher. Suitable for all types of hob. I buy them individually as I never tend to use the middle-sized pan.

  • Bit pricey but worth tracking down some All-Clad D5 sauce/frying pans. Will last a lifetime.

Another vote for Stellar. Always on offer and they will last a lifetime. Ours are about 20 years old and look as new.

I would be more concerned with hygiene or the health of a parrot flying around a kitchen during cooking.

Yes, definitely Stellar stainless steel. Must have mine for some 25 years. They go in the dishwasher and are as good as new. I think I paid £60 for them then and it felt like a fortune - I remember my dear mother saying, "HOW much?" Has worked out at about 4p a week so far - very MSE!

PTFE poisoning from Teflon. They have very sensitive respiratory systems and the fumes are fatal, for all pet birds.
I will take a look, thank you McKneff :)

I've learnt something new today then! Thanks for that! :)

I recommend Circulon. They are not cheap (tho' some are cheaaper than others) but buy the best you can afford and they will last for ever. My DD has just had a spiffy new oven fitted and I bought her a set of Circulon to go with it - she's very proud of both :D
I let my mind wander and it never came back!
