Question about house mortgage competitions?

Options
I'm curious rather than being in this situation (I don't even own or rent a house!) but these 'we will pay your mortgage for a year' competitions, if you had a mortgage on a second prosperity that you owned but didn't live in, would that still count?
Best wins in 2013 £200 and Mini iPad. 2014 no wins. 2015 2 nights 5* hotel with £300 vouchers plus £1150 Harrods gift card

  • I'd have to say it would depend on the T&Cs.

The last two I remember seeing (barclay's and an ITV one) both stated that the winner must be named on the mortgage. But I have to admit that's as far as I read. I'd look for any lines stating that the mortgage must be for the primary home or for a particular type of mortgage

I believe the Barclay's one asked for the type of mortgage you held, possibly the ITV one as well. ( I did get the feeling that was more for "when can we sell you a re-mortgage package" though)
