Returning Heavy Item to USA

I may need to return a recent purchase to the USA. It is compact but weighs 7.4Kg. Any advice on an economical yet reliable and relatively speedily way to do this?
Parcelforce quote £108. I've looked at the Royal Mail website and unless I'm misreading it or missing something, they appear not to handle parcels over 2Kg for the USA.
