They have started their 50% off sale on line............. Please consider buying from here rather than supermarket and high street store cards. Charity receive 100% of the profit from these cards as opposed to the paltry amounts paid by the high street. A charity close to many peeps hearts I know ....

This brought back memories for me - kept me occupied for hours as a child! I remember creating huge woollen snakes and crunching endless packets of sweets (not recommended!) at the same time.

If you really wanted to support the charity, surely it would've been better to buy them when they were full price?0 -

While that's obviously true but charity shop Christmas cards are expensive, even at half price the charities would still receive more money than charity cards bought in other retailers.
I never pay full price for boxed/packet Christmas cards but it still makes me feel i'm helping a charity more if I purchase cards direct from the organisation albeit at a reduced price.0 -

Ouch did you over indulge yesterday?
Yes I always seriously support my charities. I think you should think before you post. This is a moneysaving website. Charities do not want unsold stock left over. As some will know from other threads - I lost my job last year (disappeared nationally), had worked for 20 odd years in this sector and would always be covered for ill health. Yet within 4 weeks of being made unemployed was diagnosed with breast cancer. So hardly any money coming in and 2 young kids. Chemo and radio have taken their toll. So I have had to cut my cloth accordingly but I can still support charities and save money. I think others think the same. I also support 4 cancer charities by giving time and helping fund raising. Shame on you.
Exactly my point - thank you. While that's obviously true but charity shop Christmas cards are expensive, even at half price the charities would still receive more money than charity cards bought in other retailers.

I am also a breast cancer survivor but, if money were that tight, I would just make a donation I could afford and forget about buying cards.
I'm just offering an alternative point of view, no need for flaming.0 -

Every penny a charity gets is a help to them and even if the cards are half price, surely that is better than not being sold.
xxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
I always buy my Christmas cards in the sale, never pay full price.
Surely a charity would prefer we buy their cards in the sale than buy sale cards elsewhere0
